Abstract
After 48 years of development (August 8th, 1967 - August 8th, 2015), ASEAN successfully expanded into a set of 10 nations. At the end of 2015, after a period of preparation, the ASEAN Economic Community was officially established. This is an association linking nations in the region, coming out prestigious into the world community. For each step forward in the development, Vietnam is closely related to it either directly or indirectly, and scholars in the field of Vietnamese studies are deeply interested in it.
